Job Description:
Location: This role provides executive leadership and operational oversight for home health services across the Greater Orlando and Tampa Bay markets.
Oversees operations of home health services within the organization. Prepares, executes, and monitors facility and departmental operating budgets to ensure appropriate staffing, professional development, space, supplies, and equipment. Collaborates with key business unit partners to establish comprehensive market-based services and market to prospective customers. Ensures customer perspective drives leadership decisions and activities, identifying breakdowns in customer service and solutions. Provides input into budgeting, business development, goal setting, results measurement, and contract negotiations. Develops and implements initiatives, processes, and systems that align with organizational and operational strategies. Utilizes organizational databases and expert systems programs to access information and analyze data for planning and development. Assists in the development and deployment of innovative care models to improve the care at home experience for consumers and their families. Implements and drives quality initiatives to improve outcomes and experience, achieving top quartile performance. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding Home Health and all CMS or other regulatory guidelines. Manages staff development and succession planning, identifying, developing, and mentoring others to meet their fullest potential. Participates in workforce planning and employment decisions, ensuring a diverse workforce and positive employee satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Broad knowledge of Home Health care and operational models [Required]• Knowledge and experience in the regulatory and compliance requirements for Home Health care set by CMS and other appropriately appointed local, state, federal bodies. [Required]• Skilled in providing age appropriate education and patient care by interacting positively with patients, families, staff, physicians and the community [Required]• Knowledge of healthcare as well as current and future healthcare trends [Required]• Skills such as conflict management and decisiveness, team-centered leadership, listening and negotiation skills, political astuteness, flexible thinking, presentation skills, results-oriented and strategic vision, budget and finance understanding, excellent personal, reasoning, and effective oral and written communication skills, physician relationships [Required]• Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, including team-centered leadership and facilitation [Required]• Maintains the confidentiality of patients, physicians, and department information with no infractions [Required]• Aptitude for critical thinking, decision making, and managing competing priorities [Required]• Leadership skills providing the ability to interact appropriately with all other departments regarding care management and illness adjustment issues [Required]• Skilled in self-direction and organization. Effective decision-making skills with minimal supervision [Required]• Ability to work in a diverse, matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals. Refined presentation competencies and executive level communication capability [Required]• Proficient in use of computer software, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and various software applicable software platforms [Required]• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. [Required]• Ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy [Required]• Ability to multi-task and work independently; comfortable handling ambiguous situations. Field of Study:
• in business, healthcare administration, nursing or related field
• in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Work Experience:
• 10+ years experience [Required]• 5+ years of healthcare management experience at least two (2) in home health [Required]• 7+ years of healthcare experience [Required]• Financial management experience [Preferred]• Formal Process Improvement Training [Preferred]• Program administration or development experience [Preferred]• Project management experience [Preferred]
