Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) – Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Nocturnist

Schedule: 7-on / 7-off | Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

AdventHealth Daytona Beach is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) team as a dedicated Nocturnist APP. This is an outstanding opportunity for an NP or PA who thrives in a high-acuity critical care environment and enjoys providing overnight management for complex post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight management of post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in the CVICU
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage critical changes in patient condition
• Respond to emergencies and provide timely intervention for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with on-call cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, respiratory therapy, and other members of the multidisciplinary team

Perform procedures as credentialed and appropriate, including:

• Central venous catheter placement
• Arterial line placement
• Endotracheal intubation
• Dialysis catheter placement
• Other bedside critical care procedures

Candidate Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner (ACNP preferred) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Current Florida licensure, or ability to obtain
• National board certification
• CVICU, cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or ICU experience preferred
• Strong acute care and critical care background required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and CSU-ALS certifications
• Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and management of patients requiring mechanical circulatory support preferred
